There's a thread on here when the 450s just came out of a guy having water in one the connection and it cause the fan not to come on. He also include instructions on how to fix it, gotta find that thread again.

Im having issues with my sons KFX 50, it started out not running very good, then would die for no reason while riding it, gas started leaking out of carb. So far the carb and jets have been cleaned, exhaust cleaned out.The center position on the fuel valve should be off. I presume it is leaking fuel from the carburetor. These have a removable float valve at the top of the carburetor, see the parts diagrams on Kawasaki.com. That valve is likely dirty or worn. A replacement valve is around $15 at a dealer. If toys will get me in the door when it is time to go ... Without these three requirements, the engine won’t start and continue to run.
